Over the years I have bought and sold a variety of properties both in UK and abroad. I have similarly dealt with numerous Estate Agents who vaired between adequate and bordering on useless.
When my 84 year old mother decided she wanted to move and as such sell her home in Swindon I went through the Yellow Pages and met with a mixed response. Fortunately I managed to contact Austen and subsequently asked him to handle the sale of Mum's house.
As so often happens what should have been a straight forward affair turned into somewhat of a nightmare. Deeds could not be located. Inter family disputes as regards Mums mental health generated reams of paperwork and innumberable phone calls with the inevitable delays and Solicitors were changed three times.
Austen located a cash purchaser almost immediately, but they were keen to take posession ASAP.
Other 'complications' developed that are far too complex to go into here.
Throughout all this turmoil Austen dealt with the problems in a warm and friendly manner whilst retaining the highest standard of professionalism.
I think his approach can best be summed up by the fact that my Mother never once referred to "The Estate Agent" but always to "That nice young man".
Completion has at last been reached and I can truthfully state that without Austens' extremely competent and very helpful input this would not have been the case.
In thanking Austen for all his hard work I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone, but in particular those, like me, who were under the mistaken impression that ALL Estate Agents were some form of parasitic life form that could only see pound signs and were not really interest in their client's particular needs.
